STATE STREET RESEARCH ANNOUNCES LIVE SHOT STUDIO



WHO: State Street Research

State Street Research & Management Company is one of the nation's first investment management organizations. The Boston-based company actively manages stock, bond and balanced portfolios for both institutional and individual investors. As of September 30, 2000, State Street Research managed $55 billion in assets, of which $34 billion represented institutional clients and $21 billion represented mutual fund and variable annuity portfolios. The firm manages money for 10 of the 12 largest U.S. corporate pension plans, public employee pension plans, union programs, individually managed accounts for affluent investors, and mutual funds for over 530,000 shareholder accounts. WHAT: State Street Research has installed a remote camera in its trading room on the 31st floor at One Financial Center in Boston, MA. The camera is controlled and monitored by engineers at VideoLink in Watertown, MA. The camera enables State Street Research's expert sources to appear on live broadcasts or taped segments for national television outlets such as CNNfn, CNBC, Bloomberg and Reuters, without leaving the office.

WHEN: Live shots will be available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year via fiber with connectivity to Ku and C-band uplinks.
