SWISS INVESTMENT GROUP LAUNCHES NEW FAMILY OF FUNDS FOR LATIN AMERICAN AND EUROPEAN AFFLUENT INVESTORS

Miami, FL - November 2, 2000 - Swiss Investment Group (SIG), LLC, announced today the launch of a new family of funds for affluent investors in Latin America and Europe. The five funds will be marketed under the name Swiss Investment Funds and will be divided into the following asset classes: U.S. Fixed Income, U.S. Large Cap, U.S. Small Cap, European Equity and Global New Economy.

The U.S. dollar-denominated Funds provide an exclusive opportunity for SIG clients to invest in an attractive selection of professionally managed offshore portfolios previously out of reach for the individual investor. Using an Asset Class Investing approach, SIG managers design personalized asset allocation plans as well as sophisticated investment strategies for each client to optimize portfolio performance.

"Financial studies have proven that over 90 percent of investment return is based on selecting the right mix of asset classes for your portfolio. This far outweighs the benefits of market timing and security selection," said Detlef R. Kasischke, founder and chief executive of SIG. "Swiss Investment Funds provide a unique opportunity for high net worth Latin American and European investors to enjoy the enviable performance results of professionally managed funds without incurring the substantial costs and minimum requirement hurdles encountered at other firms."

Private wealth is on the rise across the globe and Latin America is one of the fastest growing regions in the world for wealth creation. By 2003, the region is expected to reach over $5 trillion in onshore and offshore investments. Europe is also expected to show steady growth to nearly $9 trillion in private wealth over the next three years. Swiss Investment Group intends to capitalize on this trend by offering investors in these regions exceptional portfolio management services with a ten-year goal of $1 billion in assets under management.

Swiss Investment Funds uses the resources of Morgan Stanley Dean Witter and Salomon Smith Barney as well as leading U.S. institutional money managers and custodian banks.
